Abstract

719,794. Showcases. COLLINS, A. F. March 13, 1953 [Jan. 2, 1952], No. 120/52. Class 52(1) [Also in Group X] A sliding panel structure, e.g. for use as covers for display cases &c. comprises a frame 3 having flanges 4 which provide runners for panels 1, 2, the ends of the flanges being turned downwards at 5 so that by applying hand pressure on the end of either panel remote from the meeting edges of the panels the panel so pressed is tilted about the respective downwardly inclined part to enable it to be moved over the neighbouring panel. Finger grips 15 facilitate the tilting and sliding of the panels. In constructions having two, or more, panels, one panel, or all of the panels except one, may have a simple sliding action only. In a modification, Fig. 6, spaced apart flanges 10, 11, 12 at each side of the frame allow the four panels 6-9 to be given a tilting movement. The panels may be provided with suitable insulation.
