Class 135 A valve assembly, particularly for an automobile heating system, comprises a valve 10 connected to an expansible chamber 18 and controlling water flow from an inlet 4 through a seat 8 to an outlet 6, a pilot valve 30 loaded to open by a spring 31 and operated by pressure within a control bellows 34 so that it opens on contraction of the bellows, and a leakage opening 14 to the outlet to relieve pressure within the chamber 18 upon closure of the pilot valve. The bellows 34 is operated by thermostatic liquid via capillary 38 and is exposed to inlet pressure on its outside via opening 26.
