Abstract

718,825. Model railway tracks. ROVEX PLASTICS, Ltd. Jan. 9, 1953 [Jan. 9, 1952], No. 723/52. Addition to 701,259. Class. 132(3) Sections of the model railway track claimed in the parent Specification have a tongue and socket arranged side by side at each end and are modified in that the inner side of each tongue and the inner wall of each socket at the same end of a. section are continuations of one another along the longitudinal centre line of the section. Each base 2 has side flanges 8 and a root 15 occupies half the distance between the flanges. A tongue 12 springs from the root 15 which with one of the flanges 8 forms a socket 14 bounded on the underside by a bar 18. A fishplate 30 is fixed to one rail of each adjoining pair of rails by punching and crimping 32, 34 and is positioned by its engagement with a chair 40 and by' a tongue 42 on the fishplate engaging with an end chair 41. The rails, which are a sliding fit in chairs 6, are thus electrically connected and held in place longitudinally. in the chairs.
