Abstract

702,479. Toy railway tracks. FLEISCHMANN, E., and FLEISCHMANN, J., [trading as FLEISCHMANN, G. (Firm of]]. May 31, 1951 [Feb. 16, 1949], No. 12940/51. Class 132(3) Rails of toy rail track are approximately U-shaped in cross-section and have projecting extensions for insertion into the rails of adjacent track sections. The extensions are of a similar shape in cross-section but smaller than the rails by approximately the thickness of the rail material. Rails 1, 2 each have an extension 4 with a bulge 5 which may be formed by introducing a punch through a hole 7. Holes 6 corresponding to each bulge are provided in the rails of the adjacent track section, the sections being held together by the catch action of the bulges 5 and holes 6. The joints so formed are stated to be suitable for the conduction of electric current.
