Classes 79(3) and 79(5) In a steerable trailer the steering linkages of the front and rear wheels are so connected with the drawbar that the cross line perpendicular to the longitudinal trailer axis. in which the centres of rotation of the stub axles of the trailer wheels coincides when driving round curves, intersects the longitudinal axis between the front axle and the middle point of the wheel base. As shown the trailer is connected to a tractor by the draw bar 7. The draw bar is connected by the linkage 10, 11, 13 to the front wheels 8, 8a and by the linkage 15, 16, 18, to the rear wheels 9, 9a so that, when the trailer travels round a curve, the point C corresponding to the centre of rotation of the wheels is disposed nearer the front wheels 8, 8a than the rear wheels 9, 9a, and so that the near side front wheel of the trailer tracks with the near side rear wheel of the tractor and the off side rear wheel of the trailer tracks with the off side front wheel of the tractor.
