Class 43 A locket in the form of a miniature book comprising a pair of covers 2, 3 hinged together by a pin 4 and furnished with complementary parts of a releasable clasp fastening 12, and containing a collection of separate or interconnected pages 1 bound between the covers and each bearing a picture &c. is suspended from an ornament or trinket, such as a clasp or brooch 15, Fig. 5, as by a chain and the ornament is adapted for attachment to clothing, or is a bracelet, earring, necklace or other device worn on the person. The rear cover 2 is extended at. its inner edge and bent round into U-form to constitute the back 5 of the book and to receive the pages which may be adapted to be drawn out and collapsed in concertina fashion. A lens 24 for viewing the pages is hingedly mounted at 25 to the edge of the front cover 3 and can be folded flat against the inner face of the cover 3 when the locket is closed. The brooch 15 comprises an ornamental plate 16 with a pin 18 hinged to the back thereof, the free end of the pin being adapted to engage in a locking device 19 consisting of a small channelshaped spoon 19 slidably engaged in a tubular housing 20 fixed to the back of the plate 16, the spoon 19 being furnished with a spindle 21 and actuating piece 22.
