Abstract
715,208. Developing photographic films of regenerated cellulose. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. Oct. 12, 1951 [Oct. 16, 1950]. No. 23827. Drawings to Specification. Class 98(2) A method of developing a regenerated cellulose film which is wound with a separating apron on to a reel which is then introduced into a developing bath is characterized in that the film is immersed in a water bath and the film undergoes its usual elongation when wetted before it is wound on to the reel so that it does not crinkle between the turns of the apron. Preferably the apron has protuberances on one face formed by indenting the opposite face and spaced both longitudinally and transversely of the apron e.g. in a zig-zag manner so that even for the two largest turns to be expected in use the pattern does not recur. If the films to be used are of such width as to bear several ranks of images protuberances may also be provided on the apron at points between the ranks.
