711,646. Card-clothing. DAMGAARD, G. Feb. 7, 1952 [Feb. 17, 1951; Nov. 20, 1951], No. 3286/52. Class 120(3) Saw-toothed wire 1 comprises a base 2 formed by a bend in the wire and when the wire is wound on a roller the free end of the base on one turn can be inserted into a recess 3 in the base of an adjacent turn. If the wire is overstressed, it breaks at a predetermined place viz. a bulge 4, so that the base is undamaged and the wound formation is maintained.
