Class 100 (1) A stacking device for use in conjunction with a paper folding machine 2 including a pair of rotating rollers 5, 6 for the ejection of the folded paper sheets, comprises a delivery table 7 having an edge 8 below the line of ejection of the sheets between the rollers 5, 6 from which it slopes upwards away from the roller to a point 9 higher than the ejection line, from which point the table preferably slopes downwards to a point 10 before assuming a horizontal position 12, and deflectors 13 resting on the table 7 in the proximity of the point 10. The deflectors 13 are adjustable longitudinally of the table 7 by means of rods 18 on which they are pivoted and screws 19, and transversely of the table by means of nuts 17 on posts 15 transversely slidable in the slot on the table 7. The leading edge of a sheet after contacting the table 7 is deflected upwardly to engage the deflectors 13 and after leaving the nip of the rollers 5, 6 comes to rest with its trailing edge overlapping the table 7 and above the level of the ejection line of rollers 5, 6 so that each successive sheet is delivered underneath the previously delivered sheet, thus avoiding interfolding between successive sheets.
