707,727. Saws. JONSSON, L.H. Sept. 25, 1952, No. 24032/52. Class 145 (2) A saw blade has consecutive groups of four teeth in each of which the outer cutting teeth 1, 4 have cutting edges 5, 6 substantially normal to the longitudinal direction of the blade and cutting edges 7, 8 sloping downwards towards the middle of the group and the intermediate sawdust-grinding teeth 2, 3 have bevelled cutting edges 9, 10 at their tips; the slope of the edges 7, 8 is less than the slope of the edges 9, 10 and the adjacent teeth 1, 4 of two groups have their cutting edges 5, 6 facing each other and are sharpened and set from the same side of the blade. The bottoms of the spaces between adjacent teeth 1, 4 are also bevelled to assist sawdust removal. The back of the blade is preferably hollow-ground and, if sufficiently hollow-ground, no setting is necessary for sawing dry wood.
