Abstract

522,283. Saws. OWEN, J. L. Dec. 5, 1938, No. 35438. Convention date, March 24. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, July 1, 1939.] [Class 145 (ii)] The saw is formed with a plurality of main teeth each consisting of a number of cutting teeth 13, 14, 15, 16 and a raker 19 with two teeth and chip spaces 12 on each side, all the teeth being so arranged that four different tooth point distances are repeated along the saw, that is, two different distances between teeth 15, 16 and teeth 13, 15 or 14, 16, one across the chip space 12 and one between the teeth of the raker. The two oppositely facing raker teeth are upset in the longitudinal direction so that they are shorter than the cutting teeth and resemble planing cutters.
