706,222. Spring suspensions for motor-cycles. N.S.U. WERKE AKT.-GES. Oct. 22, 1951 [Jan. 15, 1951], No. 24621/51. Classes 136(1) and 136(3) In a motor-cycle of the kind having a hollow frame 1 forming the support of the steering gear, engine suspension and of swinging rear wheel forks 3, the rear wheel mudguard 10 reinforced by a sheet metal part 11 is attached to the frame 1 by bolts 14 below the bearing point of the forks 3 and is also connected by screws 13 to an abutment 2 for springs 6, 7. The part 11 is provided with a reinforcing member 12 through which the bolts 13 pass. An additional shock absorber 9 is provided. Levers 5 support the springs.
