Classes 96 and 140 Urea-formaldehyde glue-films for use, e.g. in glueing wood, veneers or plywood are made by impregnating paper, or fabric, with an initial condensate of urea and formaldehyde, optionally with other resin-forming constituents, e.g. ammonia, sodium bisulphite, thiourea, dicyanamide, biuret, phenol, acetanilide, sodium hyposulphite, sulphamide, and/or softeners, e.g. glycerine, or phthalic acid derivatives &c. and one or more hardeners, the paper &c. being thereafter dried by gradually raising its temperature until the material ceases to be tacky but remains in a preliminary state of condensation.
