Abstract

701,193. Buckles. CAMP & CO., S. H. March 3, 1952 [Jan. 24, 1952], No. 5542/52. Class 43 An adjustable slide buckle comprises an integral rectangular frame with forward and rearward sides 16. 14 respectively joined by deflectable e transverse sides 12 which normally dispose the forward and rearward sides in offset. parallel planes and also engage the looped ends 26 of a slidable crossbar 22 with a serrated edge 20 which co-operates with a corresponding inside edge 18 of the side 16 in gripping a garment adjustment strap 24 passed under and reversely around the bar 22, the rearward side 14 being formed with eyelets 32 to receive lacing 28 for attachment to a garment. In use, the side 14 normally rests flat upon the body or garment 30, and the application of tension in tightening the strap 24 about the bar 22 causes the side 16 to be drawn inwardly towards the body or garment.
