699,485. Identifying cables. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. Sept. 2, 1952 [Sept. 4, 1951], No. 20826/51. Addition to 688,990. Class 36. A marking ferrule to be fitted over the insulation of a cable consists of a number of components each having a tubular portion 1, bearing a suitable indicium, which will fit over a tubular portion 2 of a similar component so as to resist separation and relative rotation, and a terminating component 1a through which the cable conductor, but not its insulation, will pass. The interfitting portions may be provided with tapered surfaces so that they form a friction fit with each other.
