Abstract
698,555. Lattice-work poles. STEW ARTS & LLO YDS, Ltd. Dec. 29, 1950, No. 31550/50. Addition to 656,703. Class 20 (i) A spacer for a pole as described in the parent Specification, comprises a plurality of radially extending arms interconnected,. e.g. welded, at their mutually adjacent ends 5 and adapted at their outer ends to be clamped betwen aedjacent lengths of the principals forming the pole. The arms: 1 may be tubular and of rectangular section, or they may be of inverted channel section, and the lower and side walls at the outer end of each arm are cut away, Fig. 3 (not shown), and the top wall 2 of each arm has an aperture 8 to receive spigots of adjacent principal lengths. The arms 1 may slope upwardly slightly to accommodate converging principals, or alternatively the apertures 8 may have slightly inclined bosses. If desired a central aperture may be provided to facilitate stacking, e.g. on a bolt.
