697,043. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. CONNECTICUT CHEMICAL RESEARCH CORPORATION. May 15, 1951 [May 13, 1950]. No. 11318/51. Class 102 (ii). [Also in Group XXIX]. A container body for a self-dispensing pressure tight container for volatile fluids under pressure comprises a side wall or walls 10, an end wall 12 integral therewith, and a discharge valve body 13 integral with the end wall 12 and having a discharge passage 17 extending therethrough formed with a valve seat 20 intermediate inner and outer end portions, the diameter of the latter portion being greater than that of the former. The valve comprises a gasket 23 held against the seat 20 by a spring 24 surrounding a stem 22 and compressed between the valve body 13 and an inwardly turned flange 25 thereof. Actuation is effected by manual depression of a flexible diaphragm 27 and consequential displacement of a rod 26 abutting the gasket 23. Specification 681,891, [Group XXIX], is referred to.
