Abstract

672,436. Tilting-disc valves spray-producers. REDDI-WIP, Inc. May 1, 1950, No. 10688/50. Classes 69 (iii) and 135. A container from which material under high gas pressure can be dispensed is provided with a delivery valve comprising a tubular stem 26 carrying an imperforate head 25 at its inner end and a number of apertures 28 adjacent thereto, a sealing member 21 which embraces the stem and also passes through the wall of the container and against which the head 25 seats in the closed position, and a coiled spring extending between the outer face of the container and a shoulder 31 on the stem ; and the material is delivered when, as shown, the stem 26 is pressed laterally to tilt and unseat the head 25. The sealing member 21 is made of synthetic rubber. Slots 20 at the end of the delivery tube allow the material to be extruded into a generally cruciform cross section.
