Class 120(i) In a hopper feed mechanism for a carding-engine of the kind in which fibrous. material is fed to a scale-pan carried by a pivoted arm the descending movement of which, when the pan has received its predetermined charge, is arranged through intermediate parts to remove a pivoted trigger lever a from holding engagement with an arm b which controls the transfer of the driving belt from the fast to the loose pulley, a freely rotatable roller c is provided on the lever, as shown, or on the arm to constitute the bearing surface therebetween.
