Abstract
696,212. Toy projectors; toy projectors for games. BOCKLI, W. Jan. 13, 1950. No. 904/50. Classes 132 (ii) and 132 (iii). A toy missile projecting device, Fig. 6, which may be used for indoor target games comprises a seating element 4 with a plate spring striker 8 for discharging a light weight missile such as a table tennis ball which is deformed and frictionally held in seating 7 until the ball is projected by the striker. Fig. 10 shows a catapult embodiment comprising elastic cross bands 19 which may be drawn rearwardly by a supplementary elastic pull band 21. In Fig. 15 a bow gun construction has a barrel portion 37 and may have elastic and non-elastic cross band sections. A further embodiment, Fig. 12, includes a disc type magazine which is rotatable on a central pin and balls 2 are frictionally held in seatings formed e.g. of sponge rubber, a sheet of which is clamped between a pair of opposed discs. A further construction, Figs. 8, 9 (not shown), is in the form of a pistol which has a trigger operated striker. Sighting notches or holes are provided in all the described embodiments.
