Abstract
695,512. Shedding motion for circular looms. FAYOLLE & CIE. July 19, 1951 [July 21, 1950; April 25, 1951], No. 17163/51. Classes 142(i) and 142(ii) The healds 34, 34a are reciprocated in opposite directions by a cam 4 on the loom central shaft, operating levers 17, 24 through sliders 7. The sliders 7 are each connected by a link 10 to a lever 17, the other end of which operates a slider 26a. The lever 17. pivots oh a shaft carrying a pinion 20 meshing with a pinion 22 secured to the pivot shaft of the lever 24. This movement of the lever 17 produces corresponding movement of the lever 24 in the reverse direction. The lever 24 operates a slider 26, which with the slider 26a, is carried on a fixed bracket 14 passing through the warp sheet. The sliders 26, 26a engage hoops 33, 33a carrying the healds 34, 34a, fixed hoops 36, 36a mounted on the bracket 14 passing through slots 35 in the healds to support them. The healds may have slits 46 and notches 48 to enable them to be easily engaged with the hoops 33, 33a. The hoops 33, 33a may be removably held in the ends of the sliders 26, 26a by spring clips 52.
