Abstract

695,447. Portable stoves; burners. AUTO-STEAM SALES, Ltd. Nov. 29, 1950 [Nov. 29, 1949], No. 30547/49. Addition to 597,763. Classes 75(i) and 126 A device for keeping food warm comprises an outer casing with a heat insulated upper part with outlet passages from the space between the inner container and the casing, a horizontal division plate closing the lower part of the casing except for a central opening below the container, a perforated tube surrounding and depending from the opening, a yielding support beneath the division plate for a candle holder the upper end of which is a sliding fit into the perforated tube, and air admission openings in the lower part of the outer casing through which the candle holder can be removed. The inner container a fits removably inside the double walled upper end of the outer casing b and outlets s lead from the space between the container and the casing. A division platee, downwardly dished, and having a. dependant perforated ring j surrounding a central aperture, closes the lower part ofthe casing. A spring-loaded candle-holder h rests on a support g, urged upwardly by a spring p, so that the upper end of the candle holder fits into the bottom of the perforated ring j. The candle-holder can be removed or inserted through air admission openings n in the lower part of the casing. The total area of the perforations in the ring j is so selected that the candle burns correctly. The device may have more than one container depending through holes in the top plate, a perforated ring and candle-holder being arranged beneath each container. The division plate may be flat.
