Abstract
695,188. Photographic developing apparatus. OZALID CO., Ltd., and BRIDGEWATER, W. R. May 8, 1952, No. 11710/52. Addition to 686,989. Drawings to Specification. Class 98 (ii). The apparatus of the parent Specification, in which exposed material is traversed over a perforated screen constituting a wall of a development chamber and subjected to the action of a vapour, usually ammonia, generated from a developing liquid by heating means within the chamber, and in which the receptacle for liquid developer is a tube extending substantially horizontally and parallel with the perforated screen and provided with a longitudinal slot on the side remote from the screen, is modified by the replacement of the longitudinal slot in the vaporizing tube by a succession of spaced apertures which may be arranged to have increasing vapour-einission area towards the end of the tube remote from the liquid developer inlet, or by the use of a longitudinal slot of tapering width to provide similar increasing vapour-emission area.
