Class 82(ii) An apparatus for treating metal parts in a liquid bath in which a barrel containing the parts is rotated on its horizontal axis while being moved up and down in 'the liquid, comprises ropes on which the barrel is suspended and whose ends are attached to a two-armed lever whose arms are of unequal length. As shown, a barrel 3 is suspended on two ropes 6 whose ends 7, 8 are attached to a two-armed lever 10 pivoted at 9, A motor 14, crank 15 and connecting shaft 13 produce a pivoting movement of the lever and an up-anddown and rotary movement of the barrel. A plurality of barrels may be arranged on a roundabout type of conveyer for treatment in various baths.
