694,938. Gear-cutting. GLEASON WORKS. Nov. 10, 1950, No. 4516/52. Divided out of 694,878. Drawings to Specification. Class 83 (iii). A machine for producing gears and like parts having straight teeth comprises an oscillatory cradle, a work support and a tool support, of which one is mounted on the cradle, the tool support being adjustable about the axis of the cradle, a member adjustable on the tool support in a plane perpendicular to said axis, a tool head mounted on said member for adjustment about an axis perpendicular to the cradle axis, and a disc milling cutter journalled in the tool head on an axis inclined at an acute angle to the axis about which the tool head is adjustable. The machine is identical with that described in Specification 694,878.
