693,602. Anti-corrosion paper &c. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP DE BATAAFSCHE PETROLEUM MAATSCHAPPIJ. June 8, 1951 [June 10, 1950], No. 13663/51. Class 96. [Also in Group XVII] Sheet packaging material, e.g. paper, cardboard, for preventing corrosion of ferrous metal articles, is coated or impregnated with a salt of a boric acid, e.g. borax, potassium tetraborate, calcium metaborate, dicyclo-hexyl ammonium borate or morpholine borate. Laminated materials containing the salt may be used. The material may be dipped in a solution of the salt in a volatile solvent or treated successively with reactants for forming the salt in situ. A suspension of the salt in an adhesive starch may be used for coating the material.
