Abstract

Coating-compositions for metal-coated strip comprise (1) polyvinyl butyrol, polymerized rosin, isobutyl alcohol, acetone, isopropanol and minor amounts of water, phosphoric acid and chromium trioxide, (2) polyvinyl butyral isobutyl alcohol, acetone, ethyl alcohol and minor amounts of water, phosphoric acid and chromium trioxide, (3) polyvinyl butyral, polymerized rosin, ethyl alcohol, isobutyl alcohol, acetone, and minor amounts of water, phosphoric acid and chromium trioxide, (4) polyvinyl butyral, phenolic resin, isopropanol and isobutyl alcohol, (5) as (4) with the addition of toluol, acetone, ethyl alcohol, and minor amounts of water, phosphoric acid, chromium trioxide and butyl alcohol, (6) phenolic resin, isopropanol, butyl alcohol and toluol.
