Class 75(iv) A louvre lighting fixture comprises a pair of spaced supporting rails 3 and a plurality of panels 2 disposed in two sets with the two longitudinal edges of individual panels in one set in engagement with the upper sides of the rails and the two longitudinal-edges of individual panels in the other set in engagement with the lower sides of the rails, the panels of one set being staggered in relation to the panels of the other set. With the exception of the two outermost panels, the two longitudinal edges of each panel of each set over-- lap adjacent edges of two adjacent panels of the other set. The panels are attached to, the rails by the engagement of slots in the panels with the roots of teeth 5 formed in the rails by cutting out dovetail portions 4. The panels may be bowed transversely so that the tendency to resume a flat condition holds the slots in engagement with the teeth. The panels mav be made of translucent or opaque material and in the latter case the opposing faces of the panels may be rendered reflecting. The ends of the rails are formed into hooks for engagement with suspension rods.
