Abstract

1504881 Making louvred panels H T CEILINGS Ltd 13 May 1975 [29 March 1974] 14010/74 Heading B3A [Also in Division E1] A grid ceiling panel is formed of intersecting series of strips, each strip having slots 1 extending from one edge only of the strip, normally to the length of the strip and spaced regularly therealong. Also each strip has a series of pairs of opposite notches 3, 4 aligned with the slots so that the notches in each series of strips are aligned. The slots 1 terminate just short of the midline of the strip so that when series of strips are clinched together the material at the base of each slot is deformed. The strips may be formed of painted aluminium and the notches may be of V or semicircular form. Grid panels may fill the interstices of a supporting framework of inverted T-section runners, may be directly supported on hangers or may be fixed to lighting fittings to act as diffusers.
