691,983. Building up by spraying; making screens. BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS CO., Ltd. Oct. 31, 1951 [Nov. 7, 1950], No. 27155/50. Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv). Porous metal bodies or those made by sintering are joined to similar or diverse material by spraying metal over the junction. The bodies may be held by a jig which may mask other parts of the bodies. In making stainless steel filters stainless steel may be sprayed. If a solid body is used the surface to be joined is preferably first roughened by grit blasting, or machining.
