Abstract
699,359. Building up by spraying; jointing. BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS CO., Ltd. May 14, 1952 [Feb. 14, 1951], No. 3541/51. Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv). Sheet material is made by volatilizing metal on to a wire gauze. As applied to the manufacture of an end plate for a porous plate assembly 11, a stainless-steel gauze 1 is mounted in a jig 4 and the exposed surface 9 sprayed with volatilized stainless steel. The sheet is then trimmed, placed in position on the assembly 11, and the other side 10 of the gauze and the junction of the sheet and assembly coated with volatilized metal. Specification 691,983 is referred to.
