Abstract

690,871. Combined cigarette case and lighter. BENEY, Ltd., and COALES, F. B. Jan. 3, 1951 [Feb. 15, 1950], No. 3910/50. Class 18. A pyrophoric lighter is attached to an end wall of a cigarette case so that by hinging the lighter relative to the case the lid of the case is released. The lighter has two spaced angled lugs 10 which extend through apertures in the end wall 7a of the case and are retained in position by a semi-elliptical spring 12 engaging between them and the wall of the case. A catch 14 is provided on the lid 8 of the case which engages with a projection 15 on the lighter and which disengage when the . lighter is pivoted against the action of the spring 12.
