Class 79 (iv) In a ring-shaped motor vehicle frame arranged between the axles and formed of longitudinal and transverse members, the transverse members being bowed outwardly or bent outwardly to arrow head formation, the frame is divided either within the span of the transverse members or at their points of abutments with the longitudinal members, the divided parts being releasably connected together or to adjoining frame parts. As shown in Fig. 2 the longitudinals 5 have welded to them divided parts 6, 7 of a transverse member, the parts being flanged at their inner ends and detachably connected to a frame part 8. The part 8 may carry the engine and be connected to the front axle. In Fig. 3 the transverse member 10 extends between the longitudinals 11 and is flanged at 9 for detachable connection thereto. As shown in Fig. 4 the tranverse member is formed of two parts which are flanged at their ends, connected together at their inner ends 12 and to the longitudinals at their outer ends 13. In Fig. 5 the longitudinals 14 are each formed integrally with a part 15 of the transverse member, the parts 15 being removably connected to a frame part 16. In Fig. 8 the longitudinals 24 are formed integrally with parts of the transverse members, a central longitudinal member extending from one end of the vehicle to the other and the longitudinals are releasably connected thereto.
