687,383. Binoculars. ROSS, Ltd. Oct. 19, 1951 [Nov. 23, 1950], No. 28638/50. Class 97 (i). Binoculars having eye-pieces with an eyepoint distance large enough to enable them to be used by a person wearing spectacles, also have retractible eye-cups e which can be pulled out for use by a person not requiring spectacles, and a brow pad a independent of the eye-cups, adapted to steady the binocular by contact with the user's brow. The pad a, for example of tough rubber, has integral laterally-extending arms c resiliently bearing upon the focusing arms d whereby the pad is maintained in a central position during relative pivoted motion of the focusing arms. Specification 313,126, [Class 97 (i)], is referred to.
