Abstract
An analgesic medicine for administration by mouth or injection comprises an aqueous solution of 6-methylamino-2-methyl heptane salicylate, 4-dimethylamino-1-phenyl-2,3-dimethyl-5-pyrazolone-calcium salicylate and 4-dimethylamino-1-phenyl-2,3-dimethyl 5-pyrazolone, the latter being in an amount of at least 1 mol, for each mol. of the 6-methylamino-2-methyl heptane salicylate. The 4-dimethylamino-1-phenyl-2,3-dimethyl-5-pyrazolone calcium salicylate may be used as such or in the form of its constituents, namely (a) 4-dimethylamino-1-phenyl-2,3-dimethyl-5-pyrazolone, salicylic acid and calcium oxide, hydroxide or carbonate (b) 4-dimethylamino-1-phenyl-2,3-dimethyl-5-pyrazolone salicylate and calcium oxide, hydroxide or carbonate. The solutions may contain other substances such as caffeine calcium salicylate.
