Abstract

685,257. Vices. GLACIER METAL CO., Ltd. Dec. 13, 1950, No. 30438/50. Addition to 674,063. Class 61 (ii). The resiliently mounted jaws of the vice of the parent Specification are provided with stops for limiting their downward movement against the action of the resilient supports. The layer 10 of resilient material and attached plate 10a are positioned on the base of each jaw by pins 11 riveted to the plate and slidable in bores in the jaw. Stops having shanks 12a fitted into bores 12b in the jaws have heads which extend into clearance holes 10c in the plate, clearance being provided between the heads and the surface 1b of the vice.
