Abstract
685,158. Inspection pits. BROADS MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. July 11, 1951 [July 2I, 1950]. No. 18298/50. Class 33. A lining for pits containing hydrants, valves, &c. for underground pipe systems comprises a number of precast concrete elements including lower side members 22 adapted to be placed one or more on each side of an underground pipe 23, and ring members 28 adapted to be superimposed one upon another, the lowest ring member resting on the upper edges of lower side members at 25. Ribs may be provided at the upper and lower faces of the elements to fit on to each other. The lower side members may be thicker than the ring members, and they may be divided vertically, whilst the base member 24 may carry a pipe-supporting plinth.
