Abstract
683,238. Perforated container for disinfectants. DAWSON, J. Sept. 3, 1951 [July 28, 1950], No. 18859/50. Class 81 (i). A diffuser container for solid disinfectants and the like, provided with a multiplicity of perforations and a slot for introducing into said container a block or tablet of disinfectant, is characterised in that guard means are provided adjacent said slot for preventing unauthorised removal of the block, said guard means comprising a plate-like member projecting inwardly from the lower edge of said slot and terminating short of the rear of the said container. As shown, an open backed, boxlike, container a of sheet metal having perforations d in its walls, has a slot b formed in the front wall a' and extending the full width of the container. A plate like shelf c projecting inwardly, and preferably downwardly, from the lower edge of the slot b terminates short of the rear edge a<SP>2</SP>. Lugs e enable the container to be screwed to a support e.g. wall. A back plate a<SP>2</SP> may also be provided. In use, a block of disinfectant is passed into the container through the slot b and, because of the shelf c, cannot be removed. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the slot b is provided with a surrounding re-entrant flange c<SP>1</SP> and slots g are provided in the walls instead of perforations.
