Abstract
683,036. Well fittings. CARSLAKE, J. April 24, 1951 [May 23, 1950], No. 12872/50. Class 85 [Also in Group XXV] A removable spring clip 10 for keeping the ends of the bowed springs 15 of a pipe centralizer, e.g. of the type described in Specification 662,551, in the collars 16, 17 of said centralizer before it is placed about the pipe, is channelshaped in radial cross-section with the main limb forming a cylindrical. ring and its edges 12 turned in to form narrow annular flanges. The gap between the spaced apart ends of the ring is covered by a tongue 11 spot-welded to one end within the channel and engaging slidably in the other end. As the centralizeris pushed over the end of the pipe the clips are pushed out from within each collar and are removed for further use.
