Class 52(iii) In an extending table having two drop leaves 12 each supported by a pair of gatelegs 28 or by hinged brackets, the centre panel 13 can be slid out on runners 14a and inverted to disclose an ironing board 18. The ironing board is supported on insulating blocks 20 and has a pointed hinged extension 19 resting on insulating blocks 21. A cross-bar carries a hook 26 engagable in an eye 23 to prevent sliding. The part 19 can be held over the part 18 by a catch 22. A pull out flap 26 carries a stand 27 for an iron. The central part of the table forms a cabinet 6 having end doors 7 and shelves 10. The cabinet is of smaller area than the table panel 13 to accommodate the leaves and is raised on legs 8 to clear the feet. The panel 13 is maintained in stowed position by a hinged part 15 and by interengaging parts 14. 16. According to the first Provisional Specification the gate legs of each leaf may be interconnected the ironing surface may be provided by flelt on the under-surface of the centre panel and the pull-out flap for the iron may have a socket for a water container. One end of the centre part of the underframe may form a book-case. According to the second Provisional Specification the ironing board may be secured in a number of positions on the table by providing a number of hooks on the underframe and the two parts of the ironing board may be detachably connected by clips and a tongue and groove joint.
