681,090. Rocket - launching firearms. ANSTALT FUR DIE ENTWICKLUNG VON ERFONDUNGEN UND GEWERBLICHEN ANWENDUNGEN ENERGA. July 27, 1951 [Aug. 8, 1950], No. 17903/51. Class 119 The face and eyes of the user of a rocketlaunching firearm 1 are protected by a conical shield of flexible and elastic material, the front edge of the shield being fixed between the two parts 5, 6 of a rigid mounting. A part 4 of the shield shown is transparent and the axis of the shield coincides with that of the sighting telescope 2. The shield has a fixing device 12 which is held in place on the firearm by a spring catch on the support for the telescope. The shield is fixed between the parts 5 and 6 by a nut 7, and a glass disc 8 protects the telescope.
