Abstract

680,774. Agricultural implements. BROWN TRACTORS, Ltd., D., and ASHFIELD, H. E. April 19, 1951 [Jan. 19, 1950], No. 1387/50. Class 6(i) Relates to means for adjusting the angle of the plough bodies of a tractor drawn one-way plough comprising two plough bodies mounted on a longitudinal shaft or sleeve so that when the tractor is running with one wheel in the furrow bottom and one wheel on the unploughed land, the landside and beam of each plough is perpendicular to the ground. As shown the plough bodies are mounted on a shaft a in which two locating segments c, d are rotatably mounted. The position of the segments is adjusted by means of handles c<SP>2</SP>, d<SP>2</SP>. Each segment c or d carries a spring plunger c<SP>3</SP> or d<SP>3</SP> adapted to enter an opening e<SP>1</SP> in a disc e fast on the shaft a. By appropriate adjustment of the angular position of the two segments, the length of the arc through which the shaft a may be rotated can be adjusted. A plunger f is used to disengage the plunger c<SP>3</SP> or d<SP>3</SP> when the shaft a is to be rotated.
