A ditching implement has pivoted to the rear part of the frame 1 a sled 14 which can be maintained in contact with the ground by a hydraulic cylinder 21 to stabilize the rear end of the vehicle and prevent it bogging down or skewing. The runners 16 preferably of angle-iron, which support the sled-plate 15, engage the ground to cause the vehicle to track properly in the ditch.
