Abstract
680,293. Cement guns. GRANDORI, C. Nov. 15, 1949, No. 29202/49. Class 20(ii) [Also in Group XXVIII] Concrete or mortar is forced under air pressure from a container 1 through delivery piping 4 to shuttering and at the same time is subjected to vibration from vibrators 3, 5. Whilst the vibrators 5 are applied to the outside of the piping 4, the vibrator 3 is located inside the chamber 1 and is suspended from a lever 7 and rod 9, the latter being provided with stops 11, 12 which engage a cover 2 movable downwards to uncover an annular opening 17, and upwards to compress an annular rubber packing 18 and thus to seal the container. After concrete is poured into the container from a hopper 6, the container is sealed and air forced in at 13 and while the vibrators 3, 5 are in operation, the vibrator 3 is reciprocated slowly by acting on the lever 7. The hopper 6 and sealing means may be replaced by a pump to provide a continuous supply of concrete.
