680,184. Seats; resilient mountings. GRANLUND. H. M. Jan. 8. 1951 [Jan. 9, 1950]. No. 547/51. Classes 52(i) and 52(ii) In a seat which is supported by, and its height adjusted by, a helical spring, projections 5, 6 are provided on the stem 4 carrying the seat 10 which projections, extend between the windings of the spring 7 so that relative rotation between the stem 4 and spring 7 effects the adjustment of the height of the seat. The stem 4 isslidably mounted in a guide 3 carried by a base 1, 2 and the lower end of the spring 7 is formed as a ring 8 which rests, and is freely rotatable, on the guide 3. The spring: 7 is provided with a handle 9 by which the spring 7 may be held at rest while thestem 4 is rotated or vice versa.
