Abstract

679,790. Bristles fixing; rotary brushes. PRINCETON HOSIERY MILLS, Inc. Oct. 4, 1950 [June 14, 1950], No. 24255/50. Class 19. [Also in Group VII] The flexible elements of a hosiery-repairing device of the kind described in Specification 679,139 are held between two members forming the hub and / or are laterally supported by flanges on the hub. In the form shown, one disc-like member 10 of the hub has a raised central portion 10a with grooves to receive the elements 18, and the other disc-like member has a flat face held on the portion 10a by a screw 17 to hold the elements in place and extending outwards so that the elements are supported laterally between the two members without being prevented from flexing in the plane containing them; the inner end of each element is formed to prevent twisting or radial displacement of the element.
