A device for wrapping objects having the shape of a drop, for instance an article of confectionery, comprises relatively movable members 2 and 4 co-operating to form a channel 6 that varies in cross section from one end to the other. In operation, the members 2 and 4 cause the object 7 to rotate about its own axis and, at the same time, to move along the channel, the whole being so arranged that the object is progressively wrapped and provided with a twisted end in the manner illustrated in Figs. 2, 3 and 7. The members 2 and 4 may have their active faces formed of elastic material 3 to squeeze the object passing between them. The members 2 and 4 may be of circular and annular form respectively, the one rotating relatively to the other about a common axis.
