Class 106 (iv) [Also in Group XL (c)] The tuning element 6, 10 of a radio receiver (see Group XL (c)) moves up and down a rod 20 and drives a pointer 226, the end of which moves in a straight line across the scale S. The element is connected by a link 56 to a bell-crank lever 50 provided with a stationary pivot p and also pivoted to the pointer. The end of the pointer is pivoted to a link 36 having a stationary pivot at its other end. In an alternative arrangement, Fig. 2 (not shown), the stationary pivot of link 36 is on the left of the pointer arm.
