Abstract
679,580. Struts. N. B. MOULDINGS, Ltd. Jan. 24, 1951. [March 21, 1950] No. 7006/50. Class 52 (iii). [Also in Group XV] A frame for a mirror, picture or other display is provided with a seat for the mirror &c. comprising a unitary plastic moulding which has a pair of recesses 13 or rounded projections in the opposite walls of the seat, and includes a bridge or backing member 6 formed from a single strip of spring metal or plastic, having at its ends a pair of projections or recesses complementary to those on the frame and which engage therewith on the bridge or backing member being pressed into position. The bridge member is of generally rectangular form with its ends bent over so as to be parallel with each other, the projections or recesses being formed externally on these ends. The recesses or projections 13 on the seating are formed in reentrant portions 15 of the moulding so as to effect easy location of the bridge member 6. Two sockets 20, 21 are pressed out of the bridge member into which may be inserted the ends of a support wire 22.
