Abstract
679,528. Watch bracelets. CRAISS, H. April 23, 1951 [April 21, 1950], No. 9370/51. Class 43. In a watch bracelet of the type including a looped cord, the lengths of cord d adjacent the loop being held parallel by a sleeve b, the cord is broken at r, the two ends so formed being held together by the sleeve b after the cord has been looped through the eye of a watch case. The ends of the cords are attached to the usual buckled straps. A metal ring having inwardly pointing teeth p is bent round the cord where it is to be broken and is then cut through to form two rings q<SP>1</SP>, q<SP>11</SP>. The cord part a is looped through the eye of a watch case, and then a U-shaped metal member, Fig. 5, having edge projections l, k at the end of one limb n<SP>1</SP> and in the bend of the U respectively is bent round both lengths of cord d so that the projections l and part of the projections k bite into the cord on each side of the rings q<SP>1</SP>, q" to secure the cut ends together, while the remainder of the projections k bite into the unbroken cord length d.
